The Rossiter System

Guide Collapse this Section
The Rossiter System is a business that evolved from my personal journey out of chronic shoulder pain. As its core, it is a unique two-person stretching program that helps people prevent and relieve pain - whether you're an individual suffering from structural pain almost anywhere in the body or whether you're a business experiencing the pain of rising health-care costs. These connective tissue techniques quickly and powerfully prevent and relieve pain caused by overuse, repetitive motion, aging or injury. It's particularly useful for common conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, chronic neck/shoulder pain, hip pain, elbow tendonitis, knee pain, foot and ankle pain. The Rossiter System can be used by individuals, companies, bodyworkers, athletes, seniors - anyone interested in getting out of pain quickly and without the typical risks associated with drugs, splints, shots or surgery.

Richard H. Rossiter: My Background and My Business

Richard H. Rossiter: My Background and My Business
It's not everyday that a helictopter pilot becomes a self-made expert on pain relief, but my career as an Army and commercial helicopter pilot sent me on this pain-relief journey and into the workplace, where I could help other people work pain-free so that they could leave productive, healthy lives.

Richard's bio
http://therossitersystem.com/aboutus/tellmemorerossiter.php
It's a long way from military/commercial helicopter pilot to innovator pain-relief expert, but Richard Rossiter decided to help others out of pain when he found his way out of chronic and near-disabling shoulder pain by relying on the body's innate sense of healing and the strength of its connective tissue to find the way.

Order a book. Sign up for a workshop. Read testimonials from other Rossiter System users and practitioners. Think about pain differently, and you'll finally start getting better (and more effective results).

New 2009 Concept: The "PainSlayer" Approach to Pain Relief

New 2009 Concept: The "PainSlayer" Approach to Pain Relief

In 2009, I had this inspiration: why not use the term "PainSlayer" to describe this approach to pain relief? PainSlayer gives the sense that you're in control, and you're the person who has the internal power to relieve and take control of your pain. Look for this concept and logo in future marketing and outreach activities.

Does it work? Testimonials from People Who Use The Rossiter System

One thing is clear: in order for people to "get" how these techniques work, it helps for them to get down on the floor and feel the results. Bob and Martha, a Rhode Island couple, now use the techniques regularly to help each other out of the aches and pains that come from demanding jobs, intensive gardening and the lingering effects of previous injuries and graceful aging.

How the Rossiter System Relieves Structural Pain

Collapse this Section
Some background on how these unique two-person stretches loosen and elongate connective tissue from head to toe to get rid of structural pain
Attacking Pain at its Cause, Not Its Symptoms
http://therossitersystem.com/howitworks/index.php
Traditional medicine offers four basic approaches to pain: drugs, injections (typically cortisone), splints/braces, and surgery. The Rossiter System believes most of those approaches attack the wrong aspect of pain (the symptoms) rather than what really counts (the causes of pain: connective tissue that's been compromised).

The Body Electric: Find your pain
http://therossitersystem.com/images/body/woman.png
Connective Tissue connects everything in the body - muscle to muscle, muscle to bone, and it wraps nearly everything in a strong sheath called Fascia. That's why pain can occur anywhere in the body, even if it's cause is somewhere else.

Still Skeptical? Try a FREE technique for knee pain

Collapse this Section
A Free Technique for Knee Pain!
Don't believe these stretches work? Try one on for size:

1. Find a partner who can help you stretch - a spouse, a child, a friend, neighbor, colleague, teammate, coworker.

2. Bend your leg and place the knee that hurts onto the seat of a padded chair. Your foot should hang over the edge and be able to move.

3. Ask your partner to place the arch of his/her foot onto the top of your calf, just behind your knee and on the head of the fibula, the outer leg bone. Take as much weight as you can; your partner should not lean or push to add weight but should slowly add it straight down.Your partner can stand on a chair next to you to add weight straight down without pushing/leaving.

4. Now, very SLOWLY pull your the toes under the chair and push out with your heel. Do that back-forth motion 2-3 times very slowly, each time going INTO the pain and stretching it from the inside out. Do that for 10-15 seconds, and then stop and ask your Rossiter "Coach" to remove the weight. Go walk!

Business Implementation and Case Studies

Individuals love getting out of pain, and businesses love saving money. That's why they use The Rossiter System as an in-house injury preventon and pain-relief program to cut medical costs, reduce workers' compensation claims and keep workers healthy, productive and working to their capacity. Companies have the option of using their own employees as in-house Rossiter Coaches, or they can rely on a nationwide network of Rossiter Instructors and certified Coaches to help them implement the training, operation and support of a Rossiter System program.

http://therossitersystem.com/corporate/casestudies.php
Most people like The Rossiter System because it's immediately effective. Companies, business and self-insured business professionals who use The Rossiter System as an in-house program also realize true benefits: lower medical costs, fewer employee injuries, fewer lost workdays due to disabiltiy and pain, less use of employee pain kiillers, higher productivity, and improved morale. Better yet, the prevention and relief of most work-related pain problems is kept in-house and not farmed out to more expensive "consultant" and specialists.
