Rosa Parks

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African-American civil rights activist who played an instrumental role in the US African-American Civil Rights Movement. She is best remembered for refusing to relinquish her bus seat to a white passenger. Her defiant actions catalyzed the Montgomery Bus Boycott and made her an iconic figure in the Civil Rights Movement.
