Raphael was an Italian artist and architect who lived during the Renaissance. He is often compared to Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo as a master of the arts during the era. Raphael was commissioned by two Popes and did most of his work in the Vatican, where he worked on the Raphael Rooms until his death at age 37.
